Guy with a cigarette: Sorry, I’m from up north.

Band to listen to: fthrsn
Recently I’ve really been enjoying this band, pronounced “father son” (the trend in band names not using vowels needs to stop, imho; it just leads to confusion). However, even if I begrudge them their choice of band name, I very much dig their choice of musical offerings. Slightly synthy and pleasurably poppy, with jangly tambourines, organ-like bass notes, and calypso-esque xylophones all making appearances in various songs. My favorites are “tony carter” and “nothing’s the matter.”
Download their EP Hysteria from their Bandcamp, where it’s available for name-your-own-price.
